The Cascina Spinerola wines

The Spinerola hill, in Medieval times, was a fallow site bounded by abundant bushes called, in the local vernacular, Spinetum .

From the 15th century this fertile land was slowly worked and the site took on the new name of “Spinerola ”.

It has now been over one hundred years that where thorns (spine ) grew, we now have flourishing vines, and from the careful selection of grapes we obtain the wines of Cascina Spinerola; a careful selection of the best that Monferrato has to offer: Barbera, Freisa, Grignolino and Chardonnay.
