The Cascina

“Cascina Spinerola” is the name of a charming hill that dominates the pretty village of Moncalvo and a corner of the Basso Monferrato.

At the beginning of the Eighteenth century, a very spacious and luxurious dwelling was built on this site.

Following a change of ownership, the stables were built in the inner courtyard alongside some colonnades to be used for farming purposes: thus it was christened Cascina Spinerola.

After an accurate and significant restoration work, carried out with particular attention to detail by the family who is the current owner, today the old Cascina is one of the most beautiful buildings used for hospitality in the Monferrato.

It is the same family who, with passion, warmth and balance, manages the hotel and the farm by the same name.
